So I wanted to go back to GMS for a bit to attend a friend's wedding. Before the patch, I coppied the .55 data and pasted it into my FMS folder. I patched and GMS worked fine. When I went back to FMS I started it up and it seemed to be working okay. It went all black like it usually does, then put me back on my desktop. I figured I didn't properly coppy .55 so I downloaded and installed the client from megadownload.

At the moment, I have the megadownload .55 MapleStory folder in my FMS folder along with Flowsion055. I'm still getting the same resluts I was before. I'm not sure what to do at this point. It seems like FMS is still trying to use GMS's .57 data instead of the .55 that is in FMS's folder.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

(I'm running XP if that makes any signifigant difference whatsoever.)

Are you launching FMS from within the FMS folder or from a desktop shortcut?

If I was in your situation, I'd reinstall FMS, delete the MapleStory.exe and GameGuard folder there, then try running FMS--by double-clicking the icon in the folder.

If you're willing/have the time, remove GMS until you have successfully reinstalled FMS, then reinstall GMS.

I was running it from a shortcut. I tried it from inside the folder and got this message:

This application has failed to start because ijl15.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

No idea what that means, so I reinstalled FMS and tried running it from THAT folder. I got the same message. I -really- don't want to reinstall GMS but I'm willing to do it as a last resort.

Missing .dll

* If you get an error telling you that you are missing a .dll, make sure you have copied all the files with .dll extensions from your maple story folder into your flowsionms folder. If you are still getting the error, the following is a link to my .dlls; extract these into wherever you have your flowsionms.exe saved to: http://www.sendspace.com/file/pwgf4aFrom the sticky.
